Raised near San Francisco, Matthew attended San Francisco State University while working as a carpenter and welder for a local repertory theater. After college he went to work in the busy financial district of San Francisco, working with banks doing home loans.  Having this finance background helps him understand all aspects of the real estate transaction for his clients, making the most important decisions seem easy.  After several years in the finance industry, he moved to Madrid to teach English to school-aged children and business to adults wanting to hone their foreign language skills. Upon his return to the United States, he relocated to the Boston area and graduated from Framingham State University where he studied history and philosophy. He was also a member of the debate team and history club, and was involved in student and campus activities and leadership development. Matthew has been involved with the Big Brother program, is an assistant director of a local after-school program, loves all sports and music, and relaxes by reading, golfing, or playing one of the many guitars in his collection.
